KBA, Brownback in showdown over spending

Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback is urging the Kansas Bioscience Authority to impose a moratorium on new investments after an audit raised pointed questions about the activities of its former director. But the KBA told reporters that it plans to push ahead. In the meantime, Brownback is holding back $22 million in new funding for the authority. Report
