Animal rights activists are blasting Bristol-Myers Squibb ($BMY) after one of its monkeys at a company lab was accidentally killed when workers dipped its cage in near-boiling water. Staffers neglected to take the primate out of the cage during a routine cleaning operation, and BMS reported the incident to officials. Now the activists want BMS to be severely punished. "Horrible acts of negligence like this, which literally boiled a monkey alive, must be severely penalized," said Michael Budkie, executive director at Stop Animal Exploitation Now. Story
